Wally era un desahogo emocional y tal vez no quería compartir ese sentimiento con nadie.

El docu tiene una pinta espectacular y me sorprende a estas alturas cuando nadie tiene interés por Prince.

Cosas que me vienen a la cabeza:
Warner colabora con la BBC. Puede que les interese promocionar en Europa ese halo mítico de Prince como estrategia comercial. Algo grande se avecina? Quieren que el público en general conozca la existencia del vault como anticipo de su apertura? Quieren camelarse a Prince para que lo abra?
Envidio el cuidado e interés por la cultura de la televisión pública británica. Os imagináis algo así en TVE?

Escuchándolos ahora, un montón de remixes, algunas canciones que ya teníamos pero con mejor sonido, y un par de canciones nuevas que todavía no he escuchado...

Mira! - de prince.org, http://prince.org/msg/7/414991. El que lo anuncia puntúa más tarde que saldrá en un hipotético "Blast From The Past 3". Parece que en muchos casos se trata solo de mejoras de calidad, pero qué ganas de escuchar todos.

10. Donna - I think I've only ever heard a poor quality demo of this. Sounds completed, and really nice.
11. Mutiny - Prince demo, maybe a little cleaned up?

13. I Miss You (Extended Version) - Like with Donna, I don't think I've heard such a clean sounding verson of this.
14. Computer Blue (Alt. Album Edit) - Slightly different than the album version
15. I Wonder - Cleaned up, and definitely louder. Maybe too loud.
16. Velvet Kitty Kat - only 12 seconds and I'm dying to hear the rest.
17. Mo' Fun - Part 2 of Carmen's Fun? It's actually a funky little jam without her caterwauling.
18. Big Tall Wall - Not perfect, but the most clean I've heard.
19. Extra Loveable - Not perfect, but the most clean I've heard.
20. Allegiance - I feel like I have this in just as good quality.
21. Strange Way - Quality is miles ahead of what I've ever heard but it's only 2 minutes!
22. An American In Paris (Remaster) - Better than what was circulating.
23. Ain't No Place Like U (Prince Vocal) - Better than what was circulating. This is actually an awesome fucking song with Prince on vocals. Wow. That beat!
24. She's Just A Baby (Edit) - Can't say how much better or worse this is but it sounds great.
25. If I Could Get Your Attention (Jill Jones Vocal) - Didn't even know this existed.
26. The Dopamine Rush - Can finally understand some of the words. Something about "ejaculate have U feelin like a wet cookie wall," in the first verse.  lol
27. Closer 2 U (Edit) - Who is this woman singing? Margie Cox?
28. It Ain't Over 'Til The Fat Lady Sings - Cool instrumental. I'm hearing hints of Splash?
29. Hot Wit U (Remix) - The only version I've heard of this song that would describe as hot. Great RnB jam.
30. Boom Box - Not sure what this is or who the girl is? Mostly instrumental.
31. Computer Blue (Hallway Speech Version) - One of the other versions here is also a Hallway Speech version. I'm not sure how it's different to that but it sounds very, very good quality wise.
32. Cool Love - Prince on vocals! Fantastic!
33. Daisy Miller (Love Song) - Horrible quality, and sounds like someone is playing a long version of Love Song over the phone to someone. Fake?
34. Good Man (Prince Vocals) - Best sounding version I've ever heard of one of my favorite outtakes.
35. Hot Wit U (Redefine Hot Remix) - Sounds like the remix from above and nearly the same running time.
36. I Need A Man #3 - Is this Brenda Bennett? Cool track with nice horns.
37. If I Love U 2nite - Prince demo. Not sure if it's better than what we have.
38. If It'll Make U Happy - Fucking awesome! A little Blue Light-ish but otherwise unlike anything I've heard from him. Was this written for someone else? God he has shit just sitting around like this collecting dust!
39. Crystal City Cry #1 (Ingrid Chavez) - Ingrid poem. Boring.
40. Insatiable Overdubs - Not sure what I'm hearing here. Sounds like a bit of Insatiable with different musical touches.
41. Jealous Girl - Another awesome new one. "U took my girlfriend out on a date. I didn't like it so I cut up her face."  lol  lol  lol  lol  lol  lol  lol
42. P. Control (Mix 9 Full Length) - Sounds like a full 9 minute version of the Control Tempo Edit.
43. Possessed #1 - Cleaned up version of what we already have. Sounds really good.
44. Purple Music #2 - Cleaned up version of what we already have. Sounds really good.
45. The Holy River Remix - This leaked last year I think but my first time hearing it. Interesting.
46. Trust (Dub Mix) - We had this a couple of years ago. Maybe a little cleand up?
47. Purple Piano Rehearsal 1983 - This leaked awhile back too. Is this really him?

Es una chulada tener un universo de outtakes de Prince - los que ya poseemos. Uno puede ir escuchando poquísimo a poco, y disfrutando así de una carrera en paralelo de lo más increíble, casi o igual de buena que la oficial. Estoy con "Desire", "Stone" y otras que da gusto, oiga.

I Guess I'm Crazy, Well Done, Cool Man y Jealous Girl son bestiales. He leído que la última la escribió para las Bangles. La letra es un poco violenta, pero me siempre hace gracia oír a prince cantar desde un punto de vista femenino jaja. La versión de Baby I'm a Star es de estudio, anterior a la de Purple Rain. Y curiosamente  una de las que mas me ha gustado en la primera escucha es Ain't No Place Like You, que creo que estaba en el disco de Mayte.
También en prince.org han escrito que la versión de P Control es mejor que la original, pero todavía no la he escuchado...

La estoy escuchando ahora, no es tan remix como la que has puesto, Tutu, es mas similar a la del álbum, con partes instrumentales extendidas. Más funk y menos dance que la de versace. Personalmente me parece que funciona mejor como remix de versión extendida, y en el contexto del álbum hubiera sido un poco coñazo, pero suena bien
